Green meetings & meetings in a green surrounding

Incorporating the imposing mountains of Tirol into meetings and events is the nature of our game.

Our interpretation of the term, “Green Meeting“, means “meeting in a green environment”, in harmony with nature, whilst conserving natural resources. Learn more about what our partners offer and create a lasting impression with your event in Tirol.

Green Facts – Green Future

K3 KitzKongress – located in the heart of Kitzbühel – is the first congress centre in Tirol to have been awarded the “Green Location” Austrian environmental award.

GREEN FACTS
The event centre is also bearer of the Austrian “Green Meetings & Green Events“ Eco-label since 2014. KitzKongress was also the first congress centre in German-speaking regions to be awarded with the GREEN BRAND award in 2016, an international brand-marketing organisation in Germany. The award was successfully revalidated in 2018.

GREEN FUTURE
K3 KitzKongress plays a pioneering role as a green event location and intends to pursue this strategy consistently in the future. Increasing demand for congress, conferences and events that comply with stringent ecological standards, means that natural resources in and around Kitzbühel will be conserved for future generations. In the same manner, optimised energy efficiency and an improvement in regional economy should be achieved. A close working relationship with regional “Green Partner” companies guarantees that events are held are environmentally friendly and in accordance with stringent ecological standards.

Swarovski Kristallwelten awarded “Green Location” Certificate

“We are delighted to be honored with this highly respected award and the recognition of our hard work and commitment to the causes of environmental and climate protection. At Swarovski Crystal Worlds, we see the Austrian Ecolabel as a mandate to maintain our position as a pioneer in environmental matters for the future,” explains Stefan Isser, Managing Director of D. Swarovski Tourism Services GmbH.

Swarovski Crystal Worlds as an event location

Around 130 customer events are held every year at Swarovski Crystal Worlds, on varying scales, from 50 to 800 people. Formats range from product launches to conventions and gala events. The recently opened Beletage at Daniels Kristallwelten adds an additional level to the restaurant, with an area that is perfectly suited to the requirements of groups. The extension was designed by Snøhetta, the international architectural firm that created the unique feel-good ambience of the restaurant’s ground floor.

Forerunner role as green meeting provide

The Congress Centrum Alpbach remains true to its sustainable principles, while playing a pioneering role in the industry with its new building that opened in August 2016. CCA was built according to stringent ecological criteria, which meet all technology and comfort requirements of organizers and guests. This was impressively proven by the facility winning the silver “Klima-Aktiv” certificate in 2016, thanks to its high-energy efficiency with state-of-the-art building technology, geothermal heat pump for heating and cooling, peak power reserve cover with pellets, facade with integrated photovoltaic panels and electricity derived one hundred percent from small regional power plants.

The topic of sustainability is ever-present in Alpbach. Bearer of Green Globe Certification for the last 8 years, CCA has also been awarded the Austrian Eco-label for Green Meetings & Green Location as a sustainable conference and event location. Moreover, ten partner companies are also certified with the Austrian Eco-label as tourist accommodation providers.

Surrounded by the scent of the forest

More than 450 events take place at the locations of Congress Messe Innsbruck every year. The three venues, located in the centre of Innsbruck, are characterised by their central location as well as the short distances to the surrounding infrastructure and effectively offer more time for lectures, networking or supporting programmes.

congresspark igls

One of these three locations, the congresspark igls, is an innovative event centre surrounded by a unique natural backdrop in the middle of the spa gardens of Igls – an ultra-modern, multifunctional glass pavilion at over 900 m above sea level in the immediate vicinity of Innsbruck. Surrounded by the scent of the forest, it offers demand-oriented space for exclusive company celebrations, seminars or conferences.

Free thoughts, wide horizon

The thoughts are free. The level is high. The horizon is wide. Ideal for meetings in a new kind of premises in the middle of Europe. A light-flooded glass building and the professionalism of an internationally experienced house. For up to 300 people.

Congress Messe Innsbruck is certification body of the Austrian eco-label for “Green Meetings” and provides you with competent advice on the implementation of your sustainable event!

A powerhouse for new ideas

With its clear-cut architectural design, Gradonna ****s Mountain Resort Châlets & Hotel in Kals am Großglockner has forgone the stereotype alpine look, and embraced sustainability, regionalism and a contemporary culture of well-being instead.

Gradonna****S Mountain Resort Châlets & Hotel resort, a Green Pearl member, has been built immediately adjacent to this special site at 1,350 m above the village of Kals am Großglockner. The four star superior hotel – one of the 100 best hotels in Europe according to Geo Saison – and the 41 chalets are laid out like a car-free mountain village, at the gateway to the Hohe Tauern National Park. With its clear-cut architectural design, Gradonna Mountain Resort has forgone the stereotype alpine look, and embraced sustainability, regionalism and a contemporary culture of well-being instead. The accommodation units are equipped to the very highest standards and have been beautifully constructed using wood. Materials such as spruce, stone pine, linen, loden and Kalser marble enhance the feeling of residing in the middle of nature. Gradonna Spa is the perfect place to indulge in the essential pleasures of rest and relaxation.

In terms of energy, the resort is more or less self-sufficient:  The hotel owns its own natural spring and wood chip plant. The 700 m² swimming pond in the beautifully landscaped garden is solar heated. Electric cars and e-bikes can be charged free at the various charging stations. Guests arriving by train, will be picked up from Lienz Station free of charge in a CO2 friendly manner with a hybrid car. The resort itself is largely car-free thanks to an underground car park. As the resort is equipped with a delicatessen and sports shop, eco-conscious guests can refrain from using a car entirely during business trips and on holiday.

Back to the roots at Seidlalm

Experience nature consciously – take a deep and deliberate breath of fresh, alpine air! We try to escape the fast pace of everyday life and remove ourselves from stress, as well as conventional seminar scenarios.

Seidlalm and the event agency element3 invite you to concentrate on the essentials. It is not only wonderful to host meetings here at 1,200 metres above sea level, it is also the perfect place to make product presentations. With a wonderful view over the Kitzbühel Alps, well away from your average meeting room, there is plenty of room for creativity and fresh, innovative ideas.

Furthermore, the Seidlalm also lends itself as the ideal location for unique team events. As one of the last remaining traditional alpine farms, the “alp” is home to pigs, goats, calves, chickens and rabbits. Not only do the animals look forward to receiving visitors, but also the Seidlalm farmer herself, who is on hand to provide enthusiastic support. Team building exercises include baking bread, churning butter, boiling jam and building fences together. In addition to communal activities, visitors will also discover interesting information on alpine farming and local rural life.

Culinary delights are conjured up together and then enjoyed in a typically relaxed, mountain hut ambience, followed by a delicious lunch or dinner.
