Green Mobility

By far the shortest distances in Tirol!

Participants travel to events in Tirol from every direction. Due to its ideal location in the middle of Europe and surrounded by the Alps, the journey here is varied and straightforward. The journey, however, is not just a means to an end, but can be enjoyed as an experience in itself, forming the beginning of a relaxed and successful business trip.

Travelling by train is very convenient, with numerous connections available. By car, you can take the Inntal Motorway from Kufstein in the east to Zams in the west of Tirol. Visitors can also experience the province in all its natural alpine splendour via various federal roads and mountain passes.
A sightseeing flight over the Alps is an extra bonus when travelling by plane. Innsbruck Airport is only three kilometres away from the city centre and well-connected to the public transport network.
All surrounding airports and Innsbruck Airport are iso-certified. You can find out more about Innsbruck Airport’s sustainability strategy by reading its current sustainability report.

Short commutes – endless choices!

Numerous public transport connections enable congress, conference and business guests to make their way around the event venue easily, in an environmentally and disabled friendly manner (without their own car). There are 6,600 stops throughout Tirol and the buses and trains cover 40 million kilometres per year. Over 200 public transport services ferry around 182,000 people throughout Tirol every day – and you could be one of them!

A wide range of guest cards issued by Tirolean regions enable participants and business travellers to travel free of charge on public transport. Find out more about what guest cards offer in the Tirolean regions here.

There are also numerous alternatives for on-site mobility:

  • The classic way to reach Tyrolean congress centres is on foot. Thanks to their central location, they are only a few minutes’ walk from most hotels.
  • You can also reach your destination quickly under electric power, with e-scooters or e-bikes on offer. Public transport also brings you from your hotel to your meeting venue in good time.
  • You could adopt the sporty, Tirolean style and get around by bike. The Tirol-wide “Cyclists” project enables you to get around your chosen destination in a very easy and environmentally friendly manner.
You could also be mobile in the Innsbruck area flexibly and at low cost with rental bikes from “Stadtrad Innsbruck”.
