The Beletage

New area for culinary highlights at Swarovski Crystal Worlds.

The moment that everyone has been waiting for arrives in May 2019: Swarovski Crystal Worlds open up a whole new space for culinary flights of fancy, the Beletage. It lends Daniels Crystal Worlds an additional floor and an area perfectly suited to the needs of groups. The extension, which is modern and simple from the outside, was designed by international architecture firm, Snøhetta, who have already successfully turned the ground floor of the restaurant into a unique feel-good location. The Beletage offers wondrous moments not only in culinary terms, but also with a unique view of the Giant, the crystal cloud and the mountain panorama around Wattens.

“Beletage” is actually French and means the “grand level”. In aristocratic residential buildings it was once the preferred floor with the finest living spaces It will be the place for shared culinary experiences and unforgettable events from May 2019 at Swarovski Crystal Worlds. Up to 120 guests can be accommodated in the unique ambience of this room, which inspires with its harmoniously coordinated interior and exterior. The newest function room at Swarovski Crystal Worlds is the perfect setting for celebrations and conferences and enables the restaurant team to respond even better to the culinary wishes of international travel groups. “After only seven months of construction, the Beletage is now the perfect room for our travel groups and event guests. The breathtaking view and modern design make this room a special haven of well-being,” says Stefan Isser, Managing Director of D. Swarovski Tourism GmbH.

MODERN DESIGN BY SNØHETTA
The international design studio Snøhetta designed the new Beletage, and were also responsible for the architecture of Daniels Kristallwelten. Guests can expect an elegant interior on the new floor that plays with light, colour, reflection and transparency over almost 200 square metres. The combination of the rather simple exterior façade with the impression of a rough shell creates a surprising crystalline core. The architects grasped the crystal theme in a completely new way, underscoring it with materials that reinforce the fascinating interplay of light and crystal. The glass lamellas on the ceiling, for example, create alternating reflections during the day and accentuate the interior in all its glory. Shimmering stone surfaces in the bar area and geometric luminaires above the bar round off the concept perfectly. Their design also reflects the notion of hiding an unusual core under a rough shell. Carla Rumler, Cultural Director Swarovski and curator of Swarovski Crystal Worlds, managed the interior design in collaboration with Snohetta and explains: “An exciting material mix of stone, wood, metal and glass with sophisticated surfaces, combined with soft textiles in harmonious colour palettes, form the ideal complement to the expressive architecture. For me, this perfectly reflects the sophistication of the Swarovski brand.”

NEW PERSPECTIVES FOR GROUP TRAVELERS
Whether as an international travel group or event guests, groups in particular will find a unique venue in the Beletage, where the culinary and event team are able to respond optimally to individual requirements. The room design is flexible and ranges from a seminar room to a disco dance area and gala dinner venue. The group menus, which can be ordered in advance, are particularly attractive for tourism professionals, as they ensure efficient yet high-quality catering for their customers. The event room can be booked from 15 hrs, where a broad range of services is also available. Everything from a single source or complemented individually, Daniels Kristallwelten team is happy to plan events according to customers’ personal specifications. While event professionals organise technology, decoration and time planning, the in-house team conjures up a variety of national and international delicacies from seasonal and regional ingredients. The in-house patisserie, who are able to cater to individual wishes ranging from pralines to multi-layered cakes, provides the crowning conclusion.
