Sustainability is essential in the convention region of Tirol. The majority of businesses are certified with the Austrian Eco-Label.
On the Convention Tirol website, organizers will find a list of certified Tirol businesses. In addition, venues which follow a sustainable concept are marked with the Meet Green icon in the Venuefinder.
Here you will find numerous green venues.
This is the certificat for the Austrian Eco-label for an event or seminar. In order for a conference to be sustainably certified, mandatory and target criteria have to be met in the areas of travel/transfer, communication, catering, accommodation, social program and entertainment.
A certification does not always make sense. For a certificate, the event has to include several areas (accommodation, travel, catering, social program, etc.). In any case, all events in Tirol can and should be carried out in the spirit of sustainability. For this purpose, we provide you with
a checklist for sustainable events. There is also a step-by-step guide on how to bring nature into your meetings.
The experts of the Convention Bureau Tirol will weigh up with you whether a certification of the event is possible and will forward you to the venues that are already licensees of the Austrian eco-label. Our sustainable partner venues will carry out the certification for you. In case of a non-certified business, we will gladly connect you with our external, fee-based experts, who will take over the certification for you.
