KRAFTalm

1. Under the floral sky

  • Where: Kraftalm, Hohe Salve
  • Capacity: up to 30 people
  • Sea level: 1,305 m

For our annual team retreat, we visited the Kraftalm in the Hohe Salve region in autumn and were immediately impressed on a number of levels. Some of us took the shuttle up to the mountain farm. The rest of us took a sportier approach and tackled the ascent on foot.
We received a wonderfully warm welcome from the staff and were well looked after during our stay. The whole “Alm” exudes a very personal atmosphere, it is incredibly inviting and homely.

We reassembled as a group in the seminar room, which can accommodate up to 30 people, and started the retreat with motivation levels already sky high, thanks to glass fronts offering expansive views of the mountain landscape.
In the evening, we enjoyed a fabulous dining experience followed by a convivial campfire in front of the Alm.
My personal highlight, in addition to the view, was the delicious breakfast buffet, where a special machine allows you to make your own nut and chocolate spread.– Kathrin Horntrich

2. Workation framed by mountain peaks

  • Where: Collis Hill, Kals am Großglockner
  • Capacity: up to 30 people
  • Sea level: 1,324 m

As soon as I enter the village of Kals am Großglockner, I spot the Collis Hill with the three Tichas, the triangular wooden Tiny Houses, which are designed to be reminiscent of the mountain peaks that Osttirol is literally teeming with.
Intrigued, I feel impelled to take a closer look, and I’m immediately entranced by this amazing location: a team retreat in the middle of nature, where new ideas and innovations are born at a slower pace. My gaze lingers on an inviting table in the meeting room. I would love to open my laptop here and take advantage of a workstation, as I can already feel my creative juices starting to flow. My day would end with forest bathing, running or cross-country skiing, followed by a convivial evening in a mountain hut.
I can feel it already: the coulda, shoulda and woulda definitely need to be realised in 2024 and added to my bucket list. – Christina Pilz

3. Or why not meet under the Swiss stone pine sky

  • Where: FeuerWerk, Fügen Zillertal Valley
  • Capacity: up to 240 people
  • Sea level: 545 m

Fügen is located close to the entrance of the Zillertal Valley and is also home to the Binderholz Factory, with its in-house FeuerWerk location. Not only is a huge amount of wood from the region processed here, it is also one of my top conference locations. The seminar rooms are located 16 metres above the factory premises, with superb views of the Zillertal mountains.

Naturally furnished with solid wood products from the company’s own production. Throughout the day, we are accompanied by the pleasant aroma of Swiss stone pine, interspersed by small group discussions on the “Garden of Air” rooftop terrace, from where the hustle and bustle of factory life can also be observed.
At the end of our day in Zillertal, we are taken on a guided tour of the biomass power station, which has given us an exciting insight into an industry that was I was previously unaware of. – Kathrin Horntrich

4. Everything on track

  • Where: Untermarkteralm, Hochimst
  • Capacity: up to 45 people
  • Sea level: 1,500 m

My first visit to Hochimst got off to a spectacular start. Together with our convention partners and, at the instigation of our event partner Eventation, I set off on my climbing adventure. We put our fear of heights and sporting prowess to the test directly below the Muttekopfhütte. After a refreshing snack, a healthy dose of team spirit and adrenalin, we whizzed back down into the valley on the Imster Alpine Coaster.
From there, we took the cable car up to the summit. Incidentally, you van also enjoy breakfast in two specially converted panoramic gondolas.

Once at the top, beautiful alpine suites awaited us at the Untermarkteralm. The incredibly beautiful sunset was enough to bring tears of joy to our eyes at the end of the day.

A welcoming, sun-drenched seminar room awaited us for our meeting the next day, which, thanks to the warm and sunny weather, we held on the sun terrace. A truly unforgettable conference day! – Veronika Schumann

5. Modern at the glacier

  • Where: Gurgl Carat, Gurgl Ötztal Valley
  • Capacity: up to 510 people
  • Sea level: 1,907 m

Conferencing at almost 2,000 metres above sea level with views of mighty 3,000-metre-high peaks? A break-out session in a motorbike museum and an evening in a mountain hut with stunning glacier views? All these impressions and more can be experienced at an event in Obergurgl at the Gurgl Carat.
As soon as you see the town sign, the mountain village at the end of the Ötztal Valley invites you to discover pure relaxation. If you are looking for peace, inspiration and pure nature, this is the place to be.

In the centre of the village, one building particularly catches my eye – a modern, diamond-shaped architectural gem with lots of windows, nestled between the church and the hotels. The light-flooded foyer, which offers a view of the wonderful natural surroundings during conference breaks, is particularly impressive, as is the meetcentive character, which is easy to combine at this location: after a productive meeting, you can replenish flagging energy levels in the Ötztal mountains with (winter) hiking, crosscountry skiing, skiing, tobogganing or a culinary journey.

Speaking of culinary delights: I almost forgot to mention my highlight at the end of the day! An exclusive mountain hut evening, when we took the cable car directly from the congress centre to the Hohe Mut Alm and enjoyed dinner with a view of the glacier, which is still visible in the darkness. – Patricia Gruber

6. Between the clouds

  • Where: Jakobskreuz, St. Ulrich am Pillersee
  • Capacity: up to 30 people
  • Sea level: 1,456 m

Jakobskreuz – now, what is that actually?”, I asked myself when I had the pleasure of visiting this extraordinary event location for the first time. What awaited me was the largest accessible summit cross in the world. The sportier among us combine this experience with a summit conquest in both summer and winter, while others (like me) reach this highlight by chairlift. Breathtaking views are offered from a height of 19 metres, which turn every seminar into a unique natural spectacle. I was enthralled. The view was almost too kitschy to be true, like a beautiful photographic mural.

If thoughts can’t flow freely here, where on earth can they? We also enjoyed this inspiring meeting environment at our own team building event and dis-covered for ourselves what bold ideas can emerge in this incredible setting. – Veronika Schumann

7. At the bottom of the mountain – the mighty Großglockner

  • Where: Gradonna Mountain Resort, Kals am Großglockner
  • Capacity: up to 200 people
  • Sea level: 1.350 m

When searching for an exclusive event venue, one particular conference location immediately springs to mind. Gradonna Mountain Resort, which was built above a natural source of spiritual energy and where nature was integrated directly into the building. Nestled in the midst of the mountains of Osttirol at the foot of Austria’s highest mountain, the mighty Großglockner, Gradonna Mountain Resort and its 42 chalets enjoys a secluded location. Upon arrival, I always feel immediately at ease. As if I am coming home.

Irrespective of whether I’m here for business or pleasure, the surroundings never fail to infuse me with creative ideas, probably fuelled by the fact that nature is really only separated from the conference room or hotel room by a pane of glass. The description ski in/ski out is very much order of the day at Gradonna Mountain Resort, as the slope runs straight through the hotel grounds. At any time of day, guests are spoilt with culinary delights of the highest gourmet standards.

If you’re still not totally convinced that this location needs to be on your bucket list, I’ll persuade you by pulling my fan-girl card out of my pocket. In addition to its fabulous conference and holiday amenities, Gradonna Mountain Resort was also the setting for an episode of “Die Bergretter” in 2022. – Christina Pilz

8. Romance in the snow in Seefeld

  • Where: Natur & Spa Hotel Lärchenhof, Seefeld
  • Capacity: up to 60 people
  • Sea level: 1,200 m

Could there be anything more beautiful than driving through the snow-covered landscapes of Seefeld in winter? I had to ask myself this question only last week, when we were on our way to the Natur & Spa Hotel Lärchenhof in Seefeld with our team.
We were already impressed in advance by the handling of our enquiry. A detailed offer for the conference packages, quick feedback, information on public transport and a reminder three days prior to our visit. We received a very friendly welcome on site and were well looked after throughout the day.

We would all have preferred to stay in the snow, but the view through the large glass front in the Sky seminar room of the beautiful snow-covered tree landscape provided welcome consolation.
After a successful day of planning for the coming year, we are rewarded with quintessential Tirolean scenes, including a flurry of snowfall and a visit to Seefeld Christmas Market. – Patricia Gruber

9. With leap and swing to creativity

  • Where: Bergisel, Innsbruck
  • Capacity: up to 130 people
  • Sea level: 746 m

Thanks to its versatile location, Bergisel Ski Jump has exuded a special allure over me for my whole life: be it during my school years, where we were taught about the history of the venue, in my youth, where the famous hotbed of sporting action emanated a very special flair, or now, where we never fail to enjoy hosting conferences above the rooftops of Innsbruck.
I am not only fascinated by the wide range of possibilities that Bergisel offers: everything from ski jumping experiences in summer and winter, networking brunches and dinners in the Sky Restaurant, meetings at the “Schanzentisch” table, or gala evenings in Restaurant 1809 is on offer here.

Above all, I love the extraordinary power and special vision that this place affords its visitors. One of my favourite memories of this meeting venue is the MICE challenge we held with Austrian influencer Maggie Child at the beginning of 2022. – Christina Pilz

10. Wellness oasis at lake Achensee

  • Where: Entners am See, Pertisau
  • Capacity: up to 107 people
  • Sea level: 929 m

Two years ago, we had already been to Lake Achensee for a training course at the lakeside Hotel Entners am See and I knew, even back then, that we would return. The day started with somewhat dreary weather, but the fog spread mystically over the lake, creating a very special atmosphere. From the conference room, we had a view of the mountains and the mist covered lake, which gradually lifted.

With the sun shining brightly, we were able to go out directly onto the lakeside jetty for the culinary highlight of the day, our business lunch, and because it was so beautiful, we moved our afternoon programme outside too.
Those staying a little longer at Lake Achensee have the pleasure of staying in the hotel’s stylishly furnished rooms and using the recently renovated wellness area. Nearby, you will also find a huge range of activities on or in the water, on the mountain, in the valley, on the beach or in the diverse local eateries. – Kathrin Horntrich
