With the increasing importance of health, de-stressing and digital detox, tourism and the event sector are also developing strongly in this direction. A prime example of such supra-regional cooperation is the EU funded project, WinHealth. This project is aimed at promoting sustainable health tourism in the alpine natural and cultural environment as part of winter tourism, in order to meet growing pressure to adapt and diversify due to climate change and changing guest needs. Innovative cross-border health tourism, as well as the creation of value and business models for the winter season are to be developed. Ones that do not replace the core, snow related offers, but complement them instead.
