Tirol has a new leading address for congress and events. The Gurgl Carat in Ötztal can comfortably accommodate up to 500 participants for congresses, conferences, seminars and meetings. The futuristic architecture is based on the shape of a cut diamond and pays homage to the destination of Gurgl, the “Diamond of the Alps”.
Gurgl Carat is the latest scion to join the MICE partner businesses in the Ötztal Valley. The congress centre was opened in January 2020 and successfully welcomed a large medical congress with 400 people for its inaugural event.
The Gurgl Carat is located in the centre of Obergurgl in the Upper Ötztal Valley – where conferencing enjoys a long tradition. The Piccard Hall stood in the same place before construction of the new building. As part of the University of Innsbruck, Obergurgl University Centre has also welcomed numerous conference attendees for many years. The stylish shape of the building is modelled on a cut diamond and forms the ideal venue for top-class events.
The Gurgl Carat is located at 1,900 metres above sea level, making it the highest congress centre in Europe. Nowhere else will you find this unique synergy of a supremely professional event location and high alpine nature. Here, guests are literally only one step away from the Gurgl mountain and glacier world. This incredible combination facilitates complete relaxation, while clearing the mind. Come to Gurgl and discover your alpine space for inspiration.
