When are team spirit and cooperation more essential than when our very survival is at stake? During survival training, teams learn to start a fire without matches, find drinking water, and build a shelter using whatever the Tyrolean wilderness has to offer. To succeed here as a group, you have to listen, coordinate, set priorities, and trust one another. You don’t need any wilderness experience—curiosity is enough.

We recommend because:

  • Puts teams in situations that challenge them beyond their comfort zone
  • Develops resource awareness and the ability to think calmly under pressure
  • Optional reflection session led by a trained team facilitator can be booked
  • The guide provides the equipment; outdoor clothing and sturdy shoes are sufficient

Description

Our experienced outdoor guides teach participants the basics of the most important survival techniques and prepare them for the upcoming outdoor event. It’s especially important to use scarce resources, such as water, as efficiently as possible. After all, in the wilderness, you never know if or when you’ll find the next water source. Participants also improve their ability to navigate the terrain so they can tell which direction they’re heading in without a compass.

Participants work together in small teams and help one another. Their individual strengths are complemented by those of their teammates to successfully complete this outdoor event. The principle of the five pillars of survival refers to fire, shelter, orientation, water, and food. These are precisely the topics our workshop focuses on. During the survival training, participants not only learn techniques but also discover a great deal about themselves and their own abilities—this challenge allows them to push past their own limits.

Upon successfully completing the workshop, participants should be able to survive in the great outdoors for a certain period of time—far from any civilization, completely on their own. This team-building experience helps participants focus on what really matters and keep a cool head even in the thick of the office jungle!
