The Tyrol Convention Bureau promotes and markets the Tyrol region as an attractive destination for meetings, incentives, conferences and events (MICE). It supports event organisers by assisting with the selection of venues, accommodation and service providers. It
also offers advice on Incentive programmes, funding opportunities and Sustainable events. By establishing and maintaining networks with local and international Partners, as well as providing logistical support and information, the Convention bureau helps to ensure the quality and success of events.
A conference is a gathering of individuals from various institutions, interest groups and so on, who come together to discuss a specific topic.
A Congress is a non-commercial gathering that takes place at regular intervals. The participants play a significant role characterised by interaction, discussion and competition. Congresses usually last several days.
Meetings attended by several people (representatives of the legislature and of social and economic groups) lasting at least one day. Specialist topics are addressed and issues are discussed. Dates are set well in advance.
Symposia are conferences with an academic focus. A particular topic is discussed amongst specialists through presentations and contributions to the discussion, drawing on both theory and practice.
The term ‘hybrid event’ refers to live events that are supplemented with digital elements. In the narrower sense, it applies to events that can be attended both in person and virtually at the same time.

Train, plane, bus or car – there are many different ways to get to Tirol. Travelling by train is convenient, and regional services take you on to the valleys. Innsbruck Airport and neighbouring airports also make it possible to travel by air.

A Green Meeting is organised and run in accordance with sustainability standards. It may be awarded the ‘Green Meeting & Events’ certificate by the Austrian Ecolabel and must comply with specified guidelines.
