Congress funding in Tirol

• At least 100 participants, with international or national participation
• To be held during the tourist shoulder seasons (March to mid-May, September to November)
• Overnight stays and consumption of services within the Kitzbühel Tourism association’s catchment area
• Only conference and congress organisers are eligible to apply
• The maximum grant amount per event is EUR 3,000 gross

Applications are processed by the management of Kitzbühel Tourismus.

The city of Innsbruck has established itself as a popular venue for international Congresses, Conferences and Symposia. For over 30 years, Innsbruck Tourism has been offering funding for scientific Congresses.

• Scientific Congresses and association meetings
• Eligible applicants are conference organisers and companies, PCOs (Professional Congress Organisers), and event agencies acting on behalf of the event organizer
• Events taking place within the city of Innsbruck receive an additional grant of up to 20 per cent during the months of January, February and March
• At least 30 per cent of participants must be from outside the region
• Proof of overnight stays for participants must be submitted
• Minimum duration of three days or two nights
• The number of participants must be at least 100 people or 200 overnight stays
• ‘Green Meeting – Green Event’ certified events are eligible for a 20 per cent top-up
• For recurring events, an increase in the grant amount is possible

Applications are processed via Innsbruck Tourism.

• Only congress organisers are eligible to apply for funding: tour operators, travel agencies, PCOs (Professional Congress Organisers)

Applications for funding must be submitted to the Kufsteinerland Tourist Board.

• Academic events at the University of Innsbruck – academic Congresses, conferences, meetings and Symposia held at the University of Innsbruck are particularly eligible for funding
• Members of the University who act as event organizers are eligible to apply

Applications for funding are processed by the Vice-Rectorate for Research.

• The promotional value and appeal of the event
• Synergy with the region’s key themes – with a focus on nature, culture, the economy, Culinary Experience, enjoyment and a slower pace of life
• Innovative potential of the event
• Individual level of Funding
