In Tirol, there are two recognised certification schemes for Green Meetings: the Austrian Ecolabel (UZ 62) and Green Events Tirol.
Both provide guidance, structure and credible evidence based on defined criteria – depending on the type of event, the scale of the undertaking and the requirements of your event.

The Austrian Ecolabel is the nationally established standard for sustainable events – audited, recognised and known throughout Europe. Category UZ 62 – Green Meeting & Green Event applies to: individual events that are planned and organised in accordance with clearly defined criteria. This covers the event types ‘Green Meeting’ (primarily specialist and business events) and ‘Green Event’ (a broader definition of events, including cultural and entertainment events).

What sets it apart:

  • Independent assessment by accredited bodies
  • Clear, transparent sets of criteria
  • National and international recognition
  • Facilitates transparent communication with participants and clients
