The Wilder Käser demonstration cheese dairy at the Wilder Kaiser offers a fascinating glimpse into traditional Tyrolean cheese-making and combines hands-on experiences, culinary delights, and regional flair. In the modern demonstration area, guests learn interesting facts about hay milk, alpine farming, and the production of specialty cheeses through guided tours, films, and exhibits. Through glass windows, visitors can observe the production process, while selected cheeses are sampled in the historic 500-year-old farmhouse. The experience is interactive, informative, and ideal as an enjoyable side event for incentive trips, seminars, and group tours.
Take the train to St. Johann in Tirol. From there, take the regional bus toward Kirchdorf/Erpfendorf (the bus stop is near the demonstration cheese dairy). Alternatively, it’s about a 10–15-minute taxi ride from the St. Johann train station.
There is plenty of free parking for cars and tour buses right next to the demonstration cheese dairy.
