After enjoying a hearty regional breakfast at the hotel, a ten-minute walk takes you to the congress centre. The welcome and first session fly by, and during the breaks there’s plenty of time to network and chat with other participants.
The congress centre is impressive. Built right into the mountainside with views of the mountains, it’s easily accessible and equipped with state-of-the-art technology, yet still feels intimate and cosy.
Stomachs are rumbling – time for lunch. Making the most of the fine weather, local producers showcase their food on the terrace and in the forecourt. The adjacent field serves as a ‘dining area’ with tables, picnic blankets, deckchairs and parasols.
