Description

Kisslinger Kristall-Glas in Rattenberg—Austria’s smallest town—is a traditional glassworks and interactive experience center that has been bringing Tyrolean craftsmanship to life for generations. Here, visitors experience a unique combination of workshop, exhibition, and retail space spread across several floors of a historic building in the center of the medieval glass-making town of Rattenberg.

During a visit, groups gain fascinating insights into glassblowing and finishing techniques that have remained virtually unchanged since the invention of the glassblower’s pipe. In the workshop, glassblowers, engravers, and artists demonstrate how to work with molten glass and show the creation of artistic, one-of-a-kind pieces in real time. In addition, visitors can explore the diverse range of glass products—from drinking glasses and sculptures to jewelry and design objects—or get hands-on during demonstrations.

Guided tours and demonstrations are available by appointment and are offered in several languages. The recommended duration of the visit is about one hour.

The location in Rattenberg also offers a special atmosphere: the historic old town with its narrow alleys, the proximity to the Inn River, and the concentration of traditional craft workshops make a visit an atmospheric experience. Combined with a stop for refreshments or a stroll through the “City of Glass,” this creates a varied and high-quality supporting program for incentive events.
