Ötztal

The most relaxed and sustainable way to reach the Ötztal railway station at the entrance to the valley is by train; from there, buses provide a seamless onward service into the valley. Innsbruck Airport is around 50 km from the valley entrance. The Ötztal is easily accessible by car via the A12 Inntal motorway. For groups, shuttle transfers are also available from Innsbruck, Munich or Zurich airports.

Throughout the Ötztal valley, a comprehensive public transport network ensures good connectivity between the various towns and villages. Regular bus services run between the regions, from the valley entrance right up to the high-altitude Alpine communities. Many hotels and venues also offer shuttle services, making even remote Event locations easily accessible.

The Ötztal is divided into five sub-regions comprising the following towns: The Oetz region comprises Oetz, Sautens and Haiming-Ochsengarten. The Umhausen-Niederthai region comprises Umhausen and Niederthai. The Längenfeld region comprises Längenfeld and Gries. The Sölden region includes Sölden, Hochsölden and Zwieselstein. The Gurgl region comprises Obergurgl and Hochgurgl. At the very end of the valley lies the Mountaineering Village of Vent.
