The Tirolean Alpbach Valley as a home for hybrid events – events that combine both classical and virtual components.
The past few weeks and months have presented the event industry with some major challenges. Ones that required digital solutions. Congress Centrum Alpbach, a popular conference venue for thinkers, visionaries and game changers from all over the world, is using the crisis as an opportunity to expand its core business. Working in conjunction with partner, Ganslhaut, who can be relied upon to provide the necessary technical know-how, a state of the art “hymat” (home) for hybrid events has now been created in the middle of the Tyrolean mountains at Congress Centrum Alpbach.
Live streaming and interactive modules
“With our new digital services, we are responding to the trend towards hybrid events and embarking on a new path together,” emphasises Georg Hechenblaikner, managing director of Congress Centrum Alpbach. Günter Dorfer, managing director and technology expert at Ganslhaut, adds: “Classic events will be expanded with virtual components. In addition to live streaming, the focus is also on interactive modules such as chats, in order to actively involve the participants.”
Modern infrastructure
A separate area is provided for hybrid events at Congress Center Alpbach, which can be flexibly adapted to suit any type and size of event. Regardless of whether this may be a podium discussion with three attendees, or a large-scale virtual event with hundreds of guests including a live product presentation. “With the modular studio structure, almost any requirement can be met,” says Dorfer.
