The Starkenberger Brewery tells the story of its past and present within its historic walls. A group beer tasting is a must.
The Starkenberg Beer Experience in Tarrenz combines brewing tradition, history, and enjoyment in a unique atmosphere. In the historic Starkenberg Castle, visitors explore the world of beer across approximately 4,000 m² of exhibition space and learn fascinating facts about the centuries-old art of brewing at this traditional Tyrolean brewery. Historic vaults, corridors, and rooms turn the tour into a special journey through time.
For incentive and business groups, the Experience World offers various guided tour formats that provide insights into the brewery, followed by a tasting of selected Starkenberger beer specialties in the medieval Knights’ Hall. The standard tour lasts about 1.5 hours and includes a beer tasting of six specialties. Extended tours featuring a look inside the fermentation cellar and special tastings are also available for booking.
A special highlight is the historic Knights’ Hall, which is also ideal for events, group meals, or gatherings in a medieval atmosphere. The combination of an interactive tour, regional culinary delights, and an extraordinary setting makes the Starkenberg Beer Experience an authentic venue for corporate events, incentive trips, and group tours.
The experience world is located at Starkenberg Castle above Tarrenz and is open for tours year-round or seasonally at various times. Group tours are available by prior reservation.
The Starkenberger Beer Experience World in Tarrenz is accessible by public transportation, though it requires a short walk or a final leg of the journey from the bus stop. Nearest major train station: Imst-Pitztal; from there, take the regional bus toward Tarrenz. Get off in the Tarrenz area, then walk uphill for about 15–25 minutes to Starkenberg Castle.
Free parking is available for visitors to the Starkenberg Beer Experience right on the grounds of the Schloss Starkenberg Brewery.
