Description
"Klumpern" in Tulfes near Innsbruck is a unique Tyrolean winter sports tradition and offers a fun, active program of activities for incentive trips and team-building events. The specially designed piece of sports equipment—known as a “Klumper” —is a cross between a sled and a ski, allowing for fast-paced yet easy-to-learn runs on gentle slopes that are a lot of fun. The origins of this regional trend sport date back to the 1970s, and today it is actively promoted and organized by the local Klumper Club in Tulfes.
Klumper fun takes place regularly during the winter season in the Tulfes area on the Glungezer and is suitable for both beginners and inexperienced winter sports enthusiasts. After a brief introductory session and technical training, participants can make their first attempts on a groomed course and then put their skills to the test in a casual race format. This makes the experience particularly well-suited for team-building activities that emphasize shared fun and interaction.
Guided programs, including supervision and equipment rentals, are offered for groups. Participation is possible, weather and snow conditions permitting, from around late December through March and is typically organized as part of the weekly program or upon request for groups. Additionally, the experience can be combined with a stop at a mountain hut or an après-ski celebration, creating a cohesive, convivial incentive program.
