The extraordinary Alpbach synergy of tradition and modernity has also been preserved in the recent and necessary extension of the Congress Centre (opened in 2016). The bright and airy conference building which nestles into the slope, now offers a total area of 2,796m² and is certified as a Green Location with the Austrian Eco Label.

The concept of Green Meeting and the subsequent Green Building have borne fruit, and the sustainable idea is now an absolute success story.
