Tirol feel-good spots

There are endless feel-good places to be found in Tirol: in a cozy café, on the top of a 3,000-meter mountain, by a lake, in an alpine hut, in a museum, in the middle of the city and many more. There are no limits to what can be done.

But not only participants and customers have their favorite place in Tirol, but of course also our partners. We asked them what their #favoriteplace is.

“Tiroler flower meadow” surrounding the Congress Centrum Alpbach

Ingrid Walder from the Congress Centrum Alpbach tells us about her #favoriteplace: “My personal favorite place is the diverse flower meadow on the grounds of the Congress Centrum Alpbach (CCA). Since this year, many traditional Tirol plants, such as Ötztal flax and various varieties of buckwheat, have been blooming not only on the roof of the CCA, but also on an additional area in front of the CCA. It is a true paradise for me, but also for the participants of congresses and events and, of course, for insects.

The direct link to nature through our flower meadows and the roof terrace characterize us as a congress center and are also very much appreciated and praised by our customers. These two spots often serve participants as a special place for inspiration or activities.
On the other hand, we can give something back to nature by promoting plant diversity and provide a valuable area for the bees and butterflies of the Alpbach Valley.
This is one of the many reasons why the Tiroler flower meadow is my #favoriteplace in Tirol! Plus, I can always see the meadow from my office desk.”

#favoriteplace Waldfest.Platz

Denise Moroders, Event & Gastronomy Manager at Europahaus Mayrhofen | Congress Zillertal, #favoriteplace is the Waldfest.Platz. Of course, she told us why: “It’s unique – this traditional “Platzerl” on the edge of Mayrhofen. In one of the most active valleys in the world, for me, it is a place of peace & relaxation framed by tall trees. But it has also been a meeting place for culture, customs and festivals for over 100 years.
Since we, the Europahaus Mayrhofen | Congress Zillertal, have taken over the Waldfest.Platz, the forest is now also a place for our congress clients to find “fresh” ideas in between or to simply organize the seminar connected with nature, in a naturally sustainable environment. Often it doesn’t take technology and ten different online tools to be successfully creative.

Meeting under the open sky promotes concentration and provides relaxation. The Waltfest.Platz was also the perfect location for the workshop, with graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister to open up the world of spaces to the participants.
Further, our team often uses the square to create new ideas for events together and to gain a different perspective.

It is my #favoriteplace because you are directly in nature, but the place is changeable and versatile, and it always serves me as a source of strength and gives creativity!”

On the rooftop – Austria Trend Hotel

Sebastian Wolak, general manager of Austria Trend Hotel Congress Innsbruck, my #favorite place is in the hotel’s meeting suite with its accompanying roof terrace. “On the fifth floor of the hotel, we have a suite that we are also always happy to rent out for meetings, sessions or smaller team events. It is my personal #favoriteplace, because of the associated terrace. From here, a wonderful view of the Nordkette mountain chain can be enjoyed on the right side and if a glance is taken to the left, the top of the cathedral and the roofs of the city of Innsbruck can be recognized. I like to come up here to enjoy the view and fresh air for a moment.

What makes the terrace exceptional is the green area that frames it and on which, miraculously, a lot of chives have been growing this summer,” enthuses the managing director.

Calm before the (daily) storm

Martina Entern, General Manager of the hotel ENTNERS am See, answers the question about her favorite place very quickly and directly: “On the jetty directly in front of the hotel. Here I often enjoy my first cup of coffee/tea in the morning and enjoy the silence and tranquility, that the Achensee radiates early in the morning. Everyday life in the hotel brings plenty of surprises and events, and therefore these little moments are special.
Every now and then I meet a guest here, a participant or event manager, who, like me, enjoys a moment of relaxation before the hustle and bustle of the day begins.”
