(Ice) fishing at Lake Weidachsee

The Weidachsee offers a special nature experience all year round. From April to October, participants can fish here – without a fishing licence. Whether as an individual activity or in a relaxed group atmosphere, the idyllic surroundings make for a relaxing break. Even if you don’t have your own equipment, you can easily hire it on site.

Winter highlight: ice fishing

In the winter months, the Weidachsee lake at 1,123 metres above sea level offers a very special experience: ice fishing. From Friday to Sunday, teams can immerse themselves in the snow-covered nature and try their hand at this traditional fishing method. Holes are drilled through the thick ice cover and fished through with a short ice fishing rod – a relaxing yet exciting activity that requires concentration, patience and a little skill.
